I am an assistant professor of Department of EECS at the Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi, UAE, which is the world’s first graduate-level university dedicated to providing real-world solutions to issues of sustainability, and was created in collaboration with MIT. I research in broad areas of networking, algorithms and systems, with a particular emphasis on a wide range of applications on sustainability.

I am affiliated with University of Cambridge as a visiting research fellow for the International Technology Alliance in Network and Information Science (ITA), which is a research consortium of leading academic and industrial institutes in the US and the UK for research in wireless ad hoc networks and sensor technologies.

Previously, I was a visiting scholar at MIT, a scientist (senior research fellow) at A*STAR in Singapore, and a Croucher Foundation research fellow at University College London (awarded a research fellowship by the Croucher Foundation Hong Kong), and a post-doctoral research associate at University of Cambridge.

I received the Ph.D. from University of Cambridge (supported by a scholarship from the Croucher Foundation Hong Kong) and B.Eng. (First-class Honours) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
